John J. Geosits Jr.

John J. Geosits Jr. 51, of North Whitehall Township, died Easter Sunday, April 5, 2015, in his home.

He and his wife Lisa A. (Kubin) Geosits were married 22 years.

Born Sept. 28, 1963, in Allentown, he was the son of John J. Sr. and Ethel (Madea) Geosits of Whitehall.

A 1981 graduate of Whitehall High School, he graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in nuclear engineering.

He also earned a Master's degree from Lehigh University in applied mathematics and became a licensed professional engineer.

He was a senior nuclear engineer at PPL, Allentown, for the past 30 years.

A member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, Orefield, he served as an usher and was currently serving as the grand knight of Council 10921.

He was a member of Cathedral Assembly 3298 and the Color Corps. Additionally, he also served as the chief counselor of St. Joseph the Worker Squires Circle 5571.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by a son, Christopher M., at home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. April 9, at St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, 1879 Applewood Drive, Orefield, with the Rev. Msgr. Robert J. Wargo as principle celebrant. Family and friends may pay their respects 8:45-9:45 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home.

Interment will follow the Mass at Resurrection Cemetery, Wescosville.
