William R. Laub, 73, of Coplay, North Whitehall Township, died March 22, 2015, in his home.
He was the husband of the late Diane T. (Meckes) Laub.
Born May 11, 1941, in Allentown, he was the son of Miriam (Ruder) Laub Harvey of Dalmatia, Northumberland County, and the late William J. Laub.
He was an assembler at Mack Trucks Inc., Allentown, for 28 years before retiring in 1997.
Prior to that, he worked at Brader's Woodcraft, Laurys Station.
He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy prior to the start of the Vietnam War era.
A life member of Egypt VFW Post 7283, Whitehall, and the Laurys Station Volunteer Fire Company, he was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Laurys Station.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by children Terri D. Donchez and her husband, Dennis, of North Whitehall Township, Tami E. Whitehouse and her husband, Paul, of Schnecksville, Jason W. Laub and his wife, Shawna, of Surprise, Ariz.; brother Richard E. , of Columbia, S.C; sister Irene Tettemer of Dalmatia; grandchildren Chad, Cory, Carly, Chase, Avery, Quinn; and great-grandchildren Cheyanne and Colten.
He was predeceased by a sister, Grace Abel.
