Catherine A. Burns, 76, of New Tripoli, died March 15, 2015, at home.

She and her husband Frank T. Burns Sr. were married 57 years last September.

Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late George and Frances (Lyons) Cunningham.

She was an insurance agent for a few years after school until meeting her future husband.

They married shortly thereafter and proceeded to start their family in Philadelphia.

As a dedicated mother and wife, she and her husband brought their three sons to Allentown to pursue their dreams together.

In Allentown, they added a beautiful daughter to their family.

This adventure took them other places as well, including upstate New York, but eventually they found their way home again to Allentown where by this time their children were marrying and having families.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by sons Frank T. Jr. and wife, Tracy, of Coopersburg, Kenneth M. and wife, Ramzy, of New Tripoli, Steven D. and wife, Stacy, of Schnecksville; daughter Catherine A. and partner, Charles Williams, of Barryville, N.Y.; brother George Cunningham of Philadelphia, and sister Rosemarie, wife of Girard Masino, of Philadelphia; grandchildren Megan, Ryan Margaret, Ramzy Taylor, Madison, Nicole, Connor and Tyler Burns; and nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother, James Cunningham and a sister Dolores Trautz.
