Spring is finally here. Yay! So are the PSSAs. Yay!

I wish you could read the sarcasm in my voice when I wrote that last sentence. Ready or not, the tests are here.

Western Salisbury Elementary School third through fifth graders and Salisbury Middle School sixth through eighth graders will take the reading and writing portion of the test April 14 through 17.

WSE students will be take the math section April 20 to 22 and SMS students will be tested in math April 21 through 23. Please help your student by making sure they get a good night's sleep before testing and eat a good breakfast.

April 14 is the fun day where parents eat lunch with their first graders at WSE. What favorite food will you bring to share with your child?

Speaking of favorite foods, the WSE PTA will host a Menchies Scoop night 6 to 8 p.m. April 10 at the Cedar Crest Boulevard location.

The end of the third marking period is April 7 for SMS and April 8 at the high school.

The last day to order yearbooks at Salisbury High School is April 24. The process is very easy. Visit treering.com and follow the prompts. There is still time to add two customized pages. The deadline to download your own pictures is April 10 to create two pages unique to your yearbook.

Salisbury Township schools will have early dismissal April 1 and 2.

The high school and middle school students will be dismissed 12:15 p.m.

Elementary school students will be dismissed 1 p.m. All schools will be closed April 3 through 6 for spring break.

An operations committee meeting will be held 7 p.m. April 8 and a school board meeting will be held 7:30 p.m. April 15. Both meetings will be in the administration building.

Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church will host a monthly breakfast 8 to 11 a.m. April 11. A donation is suggested. Proceeds benefit the 275th anniversary celebration.

The Devonshire Drop-off will be open 8 a.m. to 1 p.m April 4 and 7.
