Pete Yarrow to speak March 26

Peter Yarrow, of the folk group Peter, Paul and Mary, will be the Cohen lecturer at Northampton Community College's (NCC) Fifth Annual Peace and Justice Conference from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. March 26 at the Lipkin Theatre, Kopecek Hall, Bethlehem Campus.

The conference, "Fifty Years of Giving Peace a Voice," commemorates the 50th anniversary of our nation's first pro-peace teach-in at the University of Michigan on March 24-25, 1965.

Poet Alix Olson to read and perform at Bethlehem NCC Campus

Bethlehem native Alix Olson will read from her poetry for the free, open to the public, Len Roberts Poetry Day at 11 a.m. April 9 at the Lipkin Theatre, NCC Bethlehem Campus.She is known for a unique style of reading and performing, blending art, activism and social awareness in the public arena.

The poetry day is held in memory of Len Roberts, who was an English professor at NCC.
