Parkland boys volleyball head coach Scott Trumbauer saw five key players graduate after last season, but he won't have trouble finding players willing to step into roles on the varsity team in 2015.

"We have a few spots which could use some more depth, but we have the largest roster I've ever had, in terms of the number of players on the team," Trumbauer said. "So I'm anticipating a high level of play at practice, pushing everyone to improve while trying to earn a spot on the court.

"We have a bunch of experienced kids returning, many of whom saw action in conference and district championship matches as well as state playoff games last year. A large number of the kids played club in the winter so their conditioning should be close to where we need it. While we lost a number of key players to graduation, it looks like we will have someone filling in those spots, hopefully getting us to the level we were at last season."

Some of those players that Trumbauer will be counting on that have high varsity level experience include senior outside hitter Sean Lewis, senior setter Loren Skinker, junior setter Andrew Hillman, and junior outside hitter Kyle Stout.

The 2014 Trojans had an 18-3 overall record, were Lehigh Valley Conference and District 11 champions. Their season ended in the PIAA quarterfinals against CB West.

Juniors Jack Dreisbach, Andrew Fine, Bryce Galloway, Jake Heyer, and Jared Silverstein will be counted on to contribute in the rotation and help the Trojans get back to the success of last season.

"We're definitely looking to pick up where we left off last year," noted Trumbauer. "Being able to win both the conference and district championships was a great accomplishment, so I know the guys are looking to make another run at it."
