Violet G. "Tottie" Snyder, 74, of New Tripoli, died March 11, 2015, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

She was the wife of Robert A. Snyder and the late Adrian R. Strohl.

Born Dec. 4, 1940, in Walker Township, Schuylkill County, she was the daughter of the late David J. and Mabel L. (Breiner) Lorah.

A member of ILGWU, she was a sewing machine operator and floor worker for various textile mills in Carbon Country for 46 years before retiring.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by brothers, William O. Lorah of Mechanicsburg, Harrison Lorah of York; sister Leaffie Knadler of Tamaqua; stepdaughters, Bonnie L. Langan and her husband, Matthew, of Zionsville, Amy B. Backenstoes and her husband, Brent, of Germansville; and 10 step-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by five brothers and four sisters.
