BASD: Mini-THON fundraiser March 24

There will be an all day fundraiser for the BASD min-THON on March 24 at Wayback Burgers, Southmont Shopping Center, Freemansburg Ave. and Route 33. The event benefits the Four Diamonds pediatric cancer fund. For information, email kmchenry@basdschools.org.

Charter Arts: Arts fashion show March 22

"Flying Solo:Thinking Outside of the Box", presented by the Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts, will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. March 22 at the Palace Center, 623 Hanover Ave., Allentown. Proceeds will benefit the school.

The fourth annual fashion show, produced by Charter Arts parents, is co-chaired by Heidi Orlick and Lisa Bolash. The emcee is Robbi Kumalo, a vocalist and a Charter Arts parent.

Northeast MS: Student video wins award

The Northeast MS student team, partnered with Strahman Valves Inc. has won the DIDI PA "What's So Cool About Manufacturing?" outstanding videography award on Feb. 24. Presented by Pennsylvania's Dream It. Do It.

Miller Hts. ES: Related Arts showcase

Miller Heights Elementary School will hold a related arts showcase from 6 to 7:30 p.m. April 9 at the school, Miller Heights Elementary School will be holding a Related Arts showcase to highlight student learning in the art, music, instrumental music, academic integration and library classrooms. Families are invited to observe and participate in activities at their own pace.
