Pennsylvania Sinfonia Orchestra, directed by Music Conductor Allan Birney, presents "An Afternoon with Mozart," 4 p.m. March 22, Christ Lutheran Church, 1245 W. Hamilton St., Allentown.
The program includes the Symphony No. 29 in A, K. 201 and two concertos with virtuosic instrumental solos: Concerto in G for flute and orchestra, K. 313, and Concerto in B flat for bassoon and orchestra, K. 191.
Featured soloists from the orchestra are Robin Kani, flute, and Susan Shaw, bassoon, who will perform along with an ensemble of about 20 of their Sinfonia colleagues.
Kani is principal flutist of the Pennsylvania Sinfonia Orchestra, Bach Choir of Bethlehem Festival Orchestra and a member of Linaria Ensemble. She received a Master of Music from The Juilliard School.
Shaw, principal bassoonist of the Sinfonia, performs with the Allentown Symphony Orchestra, New York Gilbert and Sullivan Players, and in freelance engagements on Broadway and the New York area. She received a Master of Music from Manhattan School of Music.
A reception follows the concert, at which concert-goers may meet the musicians.
