FALCON ADVISOR Student Government Association dodgeball tournament March 19

Salisbury High School's student government advisory will host its third annual dodgeball tournament March 19 at the high school.

Advanced tickets are on sale now through 2:30 p.m. March 19. All advanced tickets are discounted; tickets will also be available at the door.

Doors open 5:45 p.m. Thursday due to pre-tournament festivities beginning 6:15 p.m. All participating teams must be checked in by 6 p.m.

The tournament is scheduled to begin 6:30 p.m.

The concession stand will be open and serving pizza, wings, hot dogs, chips, candy, Powerade, soda and water.

There will also be a raffle for Peeps Baskets and jars of gourmet jelly beans.

This year, teams from other school districts will play against SHS teams. It promises to be a night of great competition, good food and bagpipes. Come out for a night of fun

Congratulations to SHS sophomore Mahlon Reihman for winning the 200-yard freestyle and coming in second in the 100- yard freestyle swimming events at the state competition. Also congratulations to SHS senior diver Denny Bonner for finishing second in the state in diving and sophomore teammate Tyler Keller for placing sixth.

The Salisbury 400-yard freestyle relay team of Daniel Bonge, Ben Wiener, Gavin Carey and Mahlon Reihman finished 22nd. The Falcons ended up 11th in Class 2A with 67 points. Great job guys.

There is a curriculum committee meeting 7 p.m. March 18 in the administration building. The school board meeting for this month will be 7:30 p.m. immediately following the curriculum committee meeting.

Due to bad weather this winter, the dates for spring break have been modified. On April 1 and 2, all students must report to school. There will be no school April 3 and 6.

The end of SHS's third marking period is April 8.
