Lois E. Long, 83, of Kempton, died March 3, 2015, in the Inpatient Hospice of Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown.
She was the wife of the late Warren A. Long.
Born in Schnecksville, she was a daughter of the late Dewey and Helen (Krause) Wotring.
A 1950 graduate of Parkland High School, she was first employed as a secretary for the former Trojan Powder Co, Allentown, until her marriage in 1952.
She then became a military wife following her husband to Maine and Texas.
After raising her two children, she was employed by the former Continental Telephone Co. until her retirement in 1987.
She was a member of New Bethel Church, Kempton, where she taught Sunday School for 50 years and served on council and numerous committees for many years
She was a longtime member of the Kempton Lioness Club and the Red Hats.
A devoted mother and grandmother, she loved to cross stitch, read and travel with family and friends.
Her survivors include a daughter Linda S., wife of Richard A. Foulke, of Kempton; son Richard W. Long and his wife, Donna, of Shoemakersville; sister Betty Kern of Schnecks-ville and beloved granddaughters Lauren A. (Foulke) wife of Kenneth Hugo Jr. and Jessica A. Long.
She was predeceased by siblings Lee and Jean Wotring.
