Disturbance reported
A disturbance in the unit block of North Front Street brought borough police to an apartment where an argument between a mother and her son was in progress, Thursday, March 5. Speaking to both parties, the officers said they agreed to calm down and cease the argument.
Sounding alarm
A report of a sounding alarm at Petite Scholars Learning Center, 915 Chestnut St., had police responding, Thursday, March 5. On arrival, the patrol officer found the building to be secure. The police officer made contact with the staff who said they had no idea why the alarm went off.
Wire down
Police responded to a report of a downed wire March 4. They went to the rear of the Coplay Post Office, where they found a wire had been pulled fr4om a utility pole. Police determined the wire posed no threat. The wire was coiled up and placed at the building's rear.
Open door
Police received a call of an open door at an apartment in the area of Hokendauqua and South Front streets, Monday, March 2. The door was open approximately 45 minutes before being reported to police. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the open door. A short time later the caller made a call back to police and said the door was shut one minute before the officer's arrival.
