"Pippin is experiencing an unintentional crisis, which everyone experiences sometime in their lives," says Salisbury High School "Pippin" director Will Windsor Erwin.
"It's important to our older students at Salisbury High School because they are facing a similar situation. Their lives are changing as some will be going off to college and facing adulthood in the near future," Erwin says.
"Pippin" will be presented at 7 p.m. March 5 - 7 and 3 p.m. March 8 in the auditorium of Salisbury High School, 500 E. Montgomery St., Salisbury Township.
The Salisbury cast is led by Dane Galbraith (Pippin) and Hali Letlow (Leading Player - Storyteller). Key actors include Brad Sartorius (Charles), Abigail Garrigan (Catherine) and Carolyn Boulay (Berthe).
Nina Elias is music director. Gwen Vigorito is choreographer. C.J. Matz is scenic designer. Chris West is lighting designer. Marisa Butillo is costume designer.
"Pippin" is a Tony Award-winning musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and a book by Roger O. Hirson. Bob Fosse directed the original Broadway production in 1972. The play received four Tony Awards in 2013, including revival of a musical.
