Items collected by Whitehall Township Public Library for Peaceable Kingdom fill tables at the library. Library personnel and members of the Whitehall Lions Club are working together to encourage donations of new toys, specific foods, cleaning supplies and old but clean towels and blankets to care for the dogs and cats at shelter, located in Whitehall. Items can be dropped off at the library. Members of the Lions Club will help deliver them to the shelter. Anyone interested in donating or getting more information is asked to call the library or stop by and pick up a copy of the Peaceable Kingdom wish list. Since Feb. 2, patrons have filled seven boxes of items and hope to fill many more. The program will continue through the end of October.
