Edwin J. Czonstka Sr., 75, from Schnecksville, died Feb. 19, 2015, surrounded by his loving family, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

He and his wife Sandra K. (Krock) Czonstka were married 53 years July 1.

Born April 12, 1939, in Ormrod, he was a son of the late Julian and Veronica (Zima) Czonstka.

He honorably served in the U.S. Army.

Prior to his retirement in 1999, he was a millwright for more than 30 years with the Bethlehem Steel Company.

He was known for his handyman skills and enjoyed building and repair projects.

He was a member of the former St. Michael's Catholic Church, Northampton.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by sons, Edwin J. Jr. of Slatington, Thomas C. of North Whitehall Township, James L. of Coplay and David J. of Slatington; a daughter, Lisa, of North Whitehall Township; grandsons, Zackery and Tyler; a brother, Joseph Czonstka and his wife, Bernice, of Northampton; sisters, Stella Siekonic of Northampton, Elizabeth Wolownik of Coopersburg and Lucille Jiorle of Phillipsburg, N.J.; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a grandson Andrew E. Czonstka in 2012; brothers Emil, Francis, Theodore and Stanley; and a sister, Helen. Interment will be private.

Contributions may be made in his memory to a charity of one's choice.
