Police arrested a 37-year-old man following a vehicle chase that ended on West Broad Street around 1:45 a.m. Feb. 19.

According to police, George Papaioannou, of the 900 bloack of Carlton Avenue, was observed performing a traffic violation and fled when police attempted to stop him. Police said once he was successfully stopped, he was found to be intoxicated and resisted arrest. He fought with officers and was Tazered.

Papaioannou is charged with reckless driving, DUI, fleeing, resisting arrest and disarming a law enforcement officer.
