Coplay Recreation & Welfare Association will hold the annual children's community Easter Egg Hunt Saturday, April 4, beginning at 1 p.m. As in previous years, it will be held on the spacious grounds at St. Peter's Catholic Church on Fifth Street.
The event is open to borough children through 10 years of age. Roger Rabbit will be the attraction. The association will offer further information closer to the event.

Elvis and Roy will be in town on Saturday evening. A tribute dinner show featuring an Elvis Presley and Roy Orbison impersonators will perform at the American Club of Coplay pavilion. From all accounts, the dinner show is a sellout.

The borough's public works department is experiencing the same woes other municipalities – it's running short on road salt.
Public Works Director Paul Boyle said the road salt was ordered awhile back but, as of a few days ago, it still was not delivered.
Bothersome to Boyle are the street cuts made by contractors installing new gas lines for UGI. Boyle says he made a phone call the other day to a contractor working for UGI saying some of the surfaces left behind by the contractors are unacceptable.

The American Club of Coplay reports it is recognizing its 30th anniversary of when it first began making hoagies.
The date the first batch of hoagies was sent out was Feb. 18, 1985. Since then, the sandwich count has surpassed the one-million mark, and is now zeroing in on the two millionth hoagie, expected to be sold in a short few years.
