Football scholar athlete banquet set to take place

The Lehigh Valley Chapter of the 55th Annual National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame Banquet is scheduled to be held on Sunday, March 1, at 5:30 p.m.

The event will take place at the Northampton Community Center, 160l Laubach Avenue, Northampton. The banquet speaker will be Penn State football coach, James Franklin.

Benbrook

A 6-3, 270-pound offensive and defensive tackle, he ranks in the top 50 percent of his class. He is a member of the Becahi THON Committee, a debate team member, and participates in varsity track. His community activities include serving as a member of the Cops and Kids program.

Freedom

John M. Callahan

A 6-0, 200-pound outside linebacker, he ranks 39 out of 407 students. He is an honor roll student, a member of the National Honor Society, earned honorable mention all-conference honors, and participates in varsity wrestling. He is a debate team member and Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD). He volunteers for Project Hope of Easton and Young Life.

Liberty

Cameron Nicholas Brusko

A 6-1, 205-pound outside linebacker, he ranks 17 out of 575 students. He is an honor roll student and member of the National Honor Society. He is a member of the spirit week committee, was chosen to the homecoming court, and has a black belt in MMA. His community service includes volunteering with Special Olympics, Cops-N Kids. He is a football booster club service member and volunteers for his church.
