FALCON INSIDER ImPACT testing scheduled for Feb. 25, 26

Baseline ImPACT testing will be held for spring sport athletes including baseball, softball, tennis and track as well as middle school softball and soccer.

Baseline ImPACT tests are required for students who have never played a Salisbury sport, all ninth graders who have not already taken the test for fall or winter sports, any high school athlete who has not taken a new baseline test within the last two years (typically 11th graders) and middle school athletes who have not had the test in the past year.

Testing dates are 5:15 p.m. Feb. 25 and 3 p.m. Feb. 26. ImPACT testing will take place in the Salisbury High School computer lab, Room 005 and last approximately 30 minutes. Enter through the bottom door (No. 15) facing the lower west side parking lot for evening sessions. Students must arrive on time. Once testing begins, no one is permitted to enter the room.

Registration for advanced placement testing closes Feb. 27. There is a cost for the test. Checks should be made payable to SHS. See Mrs. Kriner in the school counseling office or email nkriner.stsd.org for more information.

Mid-marking for the third quarter has been moved to Feb. 27 due to the school delays and closings over the last few weeks.

Course requests via Sapphire Community Portal are available for high school students. Course selection is closing Feb. 27. Make sure to choose your classes as soon as possible.

The first day of practice for the spring athletic season begins March 2. Have a great season, Falcons.

Salisbury High School Theatre presents "Pippin" March 5, 6, 7 and 8. "Pippin" is a Tony Award-winning musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and a book by Roger O. Hirson. The musical uses the premise of a mysterious performance troupe, led by a Leading Player (played by SHS senior Hali Letlow), to tell the story of Pippin (played by SHS junior Dane Galbraith), a young prince on his search for meaning and significance.

Tickets may be purchased from cast members, by emailing salisburytheatre@salisburysd.org or by calling Jeannie Zettlemoyer at 610-797-4107, ext. 2508. You must note what show date you plan to attend as the tickets will be different for each show.
