Diamond in Allentown: Neil Diamond, above, iconic Grammy Award-winning rock and pop singer-songwriter and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member, kicks off his 2015 world tour in Allentown at 8 p.m. Feb. 27 and March 1 at the PPL Center, Seventh and Hamilton streets, Allentown. Diamond's latest album, "Melody Road," was released in October 2014 on Capitol Records. Diamond has charted 37 Top 40 singles and 16 Top 10 albums in the United States. His 2008 studio release, "Home Before Dark," debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Albums chart. Diamond's a member of the Songwriters Hall of Fame and a recipient of the Sammy Cahn Lifetime Achievement Award. He's received 13 Grammy nominations.
