Family members: Mother, Alma Serrano, stepfather, Gabriel Serrano, stepsisters, Alexandra and Amanda Serrano, stepbrother, Gabriel Serrano, brother, Gerardo Patino-Flores

Favorite subject: I like English class. I am not exactly the best in the class, but my current teacher, Ms. Jacoby, is an amazing teacher and keeps the class entertaining and challenging.

Activities: I am a member of Bethlehem Youth Council, BASD Mini-thon, Cancer Crushers, band, orchestra, Psychology Club, Latino Youth Leadership and National Honor Society.

Next steps: I hope to attend a four-year college and major in political science. Afterward, I wish to attend law school.

Career goals: I currently want to be a lawyer in a big city.

Heroes: Martin Luther King, Jr. is one of my heroes. He was an eloquent speaker and a passionate man. He made a great impact on society and will continuously be remembered.

Hobbies: Watching TED Talks is currently my new downtime obsession.

Current job(s): I am a CVS cashier.

Volunteer/community work: I like to help out my church during CCD classes.

Likes: I like reading mystery novels. I really like holidays. I also love scary movies.

Dislikes: Math

Greatest accomplishment (so far): I had the honor of being in the 2014 Rose Parade with the LHS Grenadier Band. It was an amazing feeling and a great memory.

Advice for peers: The best thing I did for myself was getting involved. New activities bring new experiences, new things and new people. Also, don't be scared to meet new people. New people bring new opportunities and new memories. Lastly, whatever you decide to do, remember to have fun.
