Marvin G. Clause
Marvin G. Clause, 78, of Slatington, died Feb. 13, 2015, in his home.
He and his wife Donna D. (Gildner) Clause were married 17 years.
Born Dec. 9, 1936, in Slatington, he was the son of the late Marvin H. land Esther M. (Green) Clause.
He faithfully and honorably served his country in the National Guard and was a member of the Allen O. Delke American Legion Post 16, Slatington.
He owned and operated the former Clause's Kitchens and Baths, Washington Township for 35 years before retiring.
He was a member of Jordan United Church of Christ, South Whitehall.
During the Christmas season, he enjoyed decorating his home on Christmas Lane and playing Santa Claus for the children.
His hobbies included bowling and assisting as equipment manager of the Onyx Knights Indoor Color Guard for many years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters, Lori L. Merkel and her husband, Jed, of Slatington, Suzanne M. Lorah of Schnecksville; stepson, Daren J. German and his wife, Laurie, of Schnecksville; grandchildren Ashley and Brent Merkel, Darren and Jordan Lorah; step-grandson Cole German; former wife Annette (Yehl) Bauer of Slatington.
He was predeceased by a stepson, Cory M. German, and his beloved Airedale, Molleigh.
His service and interment will be private, at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours.
