Pippin is coming to Salisbury High School.

The Tony award-winning musical is on its way to SHS and you are all invited to attend. Showtimes are 7 p.m. March 5 to 7 and 3 p.m. March 8.

"Pippin" uses music and dance to tell the story of a young prince searching for some meaning in his life.

The first day of spring athletic practices is March 2. If you are due to get the impact testing, make sure to have it done before practice starts.

Kindergarten registration at Western Salisbury Elementary will take place 9:30 to 11 a.m. Feb. 25. If you have any children or know of any in your neighborhood who will be 5 years old before Sept. 1, please note the date.

School staff members will be on hand to answer questions and a tour of the building will be conducted.

Western Salisbury Elementary PTA is having a roller skating night 6 to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 27 at Independence Skate Center, 4345 Independence Drive, Schnecksville.

Due to all the snow days this year, the school superintendent recently announced April 1 and 2 will now be snow make-up days and all students will report to school.

The school board has approved the school calendar for the 2015-2016 school year. It includes the dates for the first day of school, professional development days and inclement weather make-up days. It might be a good idea to check this out before making any vacation plans. The calendar is available at www.stsd.org/calendar1516.

There will be an operations committee meeting 7 p.m. March 2 at the administration building, 1140 Salisbury Road and a curriculum committee meeting will be held 7 p.m. March 4 at Western Salisbury Elementary School, 3201 Devonshire Road.
