LEHIGH VALLEY WEATHER

STUDENT OF THE WEEK

Q: What grade are you in?

A: I am in the 12th grade at Emmaus High School.

Q: What is your favorite subject? Why?

A: My favorite subject is economics because it is about much more than money. Economics can be applied to any decision one makes.

Q: Have you received any special awards or recognition?

A: I am a member of National Honor Society and French National Honor Society. I have also been on the principal's honor roll for every quarter since ninth grade.

Q: Are you involved in any extracurricular activities?

A: I have been a member of the high school volleyball team every year. I am also an officer of the Emmaus chapter of Students Against Destructive Decisions. I have been taking piano lessons since kindergarten. This year I joined the hiking club because I'm outdoorsy.

Q: What is your next goal after high school?

A: I plan on attending college and majoring in business.

Q: What would you say your biggest challenge has been so far?

A: My biggest challenge has been juggling my commitments to school, friends, family and extracurricular activities. If that is my biggest obstacle, I'd say it is a pretty good obstacle to have.

Q: What do you want to be remembered for?

A: I hope to be remembered as a hardworking person who also has a sense of humor.

Q: Who is in your family?

A: My family consists of my parents, Caryn and Marc, and my two brothers, Teddy and Matt.

Q: Do you have someone you look up to?

A: I look up to both of my grandmothers. They are very different people and I admire each of their distinct qualities and Jack Krissinger.

Q: Do you have any advice for your peers?

A: My advice is to take what you do seriously, but do not take yourself too seriously. When you face-plant on your way up the stairs (because, trust me, it will happen), pick yourself up, dust yourself off and smile because you just brought some laughter to someone else's day.
