Recently, the state released the average SAT scores for Pennsylvania high schools as of 2014. Emmaus ranked well with an average score of 1612, behind Parkland, Southern Lehigh and Northwestern Lehigh.

This week, the East Penn School District is making up a snow day Feb. 13. Originally, students of Emmaus had a half day Feb. 12, followed by a day off Feb. 13. On the half-day junior students were required to stay for their graduation project interviews. However with the recent snow, Thursday has been made a full day and Friday is a half day.

Graduation project interviews will now take place Feb. 13, after school.

Junior students are reminded to turn in their shadowing verification sheet prior to this day, and must complete a resume they must bring with them to the interview.

Tickets for the spring musical, Mary Poppins are almost sold out. Shows will be held March 17 to 22. Tickets can be purchased in the main office.

Last Thursday, Emmaus junior Maddie Muth participated in the regional Poetry Out Loud competition at the Allentown Art Museum. Muth did not place, but she was the only student from Emmaus to participate in the competition. Congratulations to Muth on her participation.
