Well, it seems this year all the snowstorms will be coming on Sunday nights.

The school district has acted to take back several holidays in order to make up snow days. The schools will now be open Feb. 13, April 1 and 2. Parents and guardians are asked to plan accordingly.

The school board meeting will be held in the administration building 7:30 p.m. Feb. 11.

All Salisbury Township schools will be closed Feb. 16 in observance of the Presidents Day holiday.

It's time to start thinking about physicals for those who play spring sports at the middle and high schools. Physicals are scheduled Feb. 21 with the boys 8 a.m. and the girls 9 a.m. They will be at the Salisbury Middle School health room and there is a cost. All paperwork for spring athletes and managers will be available at the middle and high schools beginning Feb. 3. In order to play sports in the spring, students must have a physical dated on or after May 31, 2014.

Feb. 23 marks the mid point of the Salisbury High School third quarter marking period. Where is this year going?

Salisbury High School Theatre will present "Pippin" 7 p.m. March 5, 6 and 7 and 3 p.m. March 8. Tickets are available from cast members or via email to salisburytheatre@salisburysd.org or by calling Jamie Zettlemoyer at 610-797-4107, ext. 2508. When ordering tickets, specify which performance you will be attending.

The Harry S Truman Elementary School PTO is hosting a roller skating party Feb. 12 at the Whitehall Skateaway.

HST students are encouraged to wear their school T-shirt Feb. 19.

Looking ahead, kindergarten registration is scheduled 9 to 11 a.m. Feb. 26 and 1 to 2 p.m. Feb. 26 at HST. Please tell your neighbors with kindergarten-aged children about this registration date as certain information will be required.

The HST fourth grade invitation to lunch has been rescheduled to March 2. Parents and guardians are encouraged to arrive at school between 12:05 and 12:15 p.m. and enjoy a lunch of pancakes and sausage with their students. Lunch will be held 12:15 to 12:45 p.m.
