Mo' New Orleans: Orange Kellin's "A Night In Old New Orleans," above, features Vernel Bagneris, 7:30 p.m. Feb. 13, Acopian Ballroom, State Theatre Center for the Arts, Easton. From the Broadway production of "One Mo' Time," music arranger and clarinetist Kellin brings ragtime pianist and singer Conal Fowkes and drummer, vocalist, Chris Tyle. Bagneris, creator and director of "One Mo' Time," acts, sings and dances show-stopping numbers from the show. Kellin accompanied Louis Armstrong at "Satchmo's 70th Birthday Concert" at the Newport Jazz Festival in 1970, recorded the Oscar-nominated soundtrack for Louis Malle's "Pretty Baby," and played a Royal Command performance of "One Mo' Time" for Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip. Bagneris wrote, directed and starred in the original off-Broadway and Broadway production of "One Mo' Time," appeared in Jim Jarmusch's "Down By Law," had a starring role in Herbert Ross' "Pennies From Heaven" and choreographed Taylor Hackford's "Ray," the Ray Charles biopic starring Jamie Fox.
