LEHIGH VALLEY WEATHER

Whitehall Township Public Library column

The Whitehall Township Public Library is creating an online digital library and expanding the local history section.

Anyone who has historic books, items or pictures of the Lehigh Valley, or old family photos, is encouraged to contact the library. Ask for Patty or Jim.

The library will return the items.

If the items can be digitized (scanned), the library would like to borrow them, digitize them, then return the originals.

Some items are already on the library website at www.whitehallpl.org/digital.html.

A local Boy Scout is working toward his Eagle Scout award.

He has chosen to build eight picnic tables with benches for the library, giving the community a place to relax outside the facility.

Visit our website or stop in at the front desk to donate funds and help him earn his Eagle Scout badge.

All proceeds will go toward funding the project and any excess will be donated to the library.
