Alarm activated
State police Dec. 1 responded to a report of a false alarm in the 700 block of Savage Road, Allen Township.
According to police, upon arrival it was discovered the alarm was mistakingly set off.
Motorist strikes tree
A vehicle crash brought police Jan. 3 to Airport Road, south of Snyders Church Road.
Police said Douglas Weindel of Bath was traveling north on Airport Road in the right lane. As he crested the hill, Weindel told police, he observed a vehicle slowing to his right. In an attempt to slow down, police said Weindel lost control and struck a tree located on the eastern side of the road.
The vehicle sustained damage and was towed from the scene, police said.
Vehicle stolen
Police Dec. 13 were called to the Old Navy parking lot, 941 Airport Road, to investigate the theft of a vehicle.
Police said a Bath resident parked her gray 2010 Honda Insight in the parking lot. An unknown individual later gained access to the vehicle and drove it from the scene.
A bumper sticker that reads "Become a Locavore Support Your Local Beekeeper" is located on the rear driver side of the vehicle, according to police.
Vehicle runsred light
Police Dec. 14 responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash at the Race Street intersection on Airport Road.
According to police, Timothy Usher of Walnutport was traveling south on Airport Road when he ran a red light and struck Northampton resident Rory O'Donnell's vehicle.
Both vehicles sustained heavy front end damage, police said.
No injuries were reported, according to police reports.
Car collides with utility pole
Police responded Jan. 3 to a report of a motorist who struck a utility pole in the area of Weaversville Road, near the intersection with South Halbea Street, East Allen Township.
Police said Alessandro Cozzi of Slatington lost control of the vehicle and traveled across the westbound lane of traffic and collided with a utility pole.
Cozzi was cited for operating a vehicle at unsafe speeds, police said.
East Allen Township Fire Department provided assistance on the scene.
Crash reported
A motor vehicle crash Jan. 4 brought police to Lloyd Street on Airport Road.
Police said Yushan Wang of Bethlehem was traveling southbound on Airport Road when his vehicle collided with that of Allentown resident Gloria Rosario.
According to police, Rosario's vehicle made impact with the rear passenger door and wheel area of Wang's vehicle.
Batteries removed from trucks
Police responded to the theft of batteries from two trucks Jan. 9.
According to police, an unknown individual removed batteries from the trucks, located in the rear of Sun Industrial Supply, in the 700 block of Savage Road, Northampton.
Theft of clothing reported
The theft of clothing Jan. 12 brought police to General Dollar, 1866 Catasauqua Road, Hanover Township, Lehigh County.
Police said an unknown actor stole several packs of Hanes T-shirts and underwear from the store.
Vehicle rear-ended
Police were called Jan. 15 to Route 22, west of Route 145, to investigate a vehicle that was struck from behind.
According to police, Edwin Urena of Bethlehem was traveling west on Route 22 behind East Bangor resident Hillari Merritt, when Urena struck the rear of Merritt's vehicle.
Both vehicles, police said, sustained damage.
No injuries were reported.
Urena was cited for driving a vehicle at an unsafe speed, police said.
Motorist hits cement island
Police responded to a report of a motorist who slid into a cement island Jan. 18.
Traci McDonald of Whitehall was traveling west on north Irving Street when she hit the island, police said.
