William H. Shupp II

William H. Shupp II, 83, of Orefield, formerly of Whitehall, died Jan. 24, 2015, in his home, surrounded by his loving children.

He was the husband of the late Antoinette E. "Toni" (Frisch) Shupp.

Born Dec. 8, 1931, in Palmerton, he was the son of the late William H. and Helen C. (Parsons) Shupp.

He was a truck driver at ABEL Trucking, Bath, for 10 years before retiring.

Prior to that, he worked at Roadway Inc. and the former Trojan Powder Co.

He also drove school bus for the Parkland School District and was a former member of Ranger Lake, Ironton.

His survivors include children Denise Hartman and her husband, Scott, of Bernville, Catherine E. Shupp, with whom he resided, William H. III of Slatington; sister Barbara Moyer of Florida; grandchildren Robert, Jeremy and Michael; great-grandchildren Matthew, Lucas, Caitlyn and Rylan.

He was predeceased by sisters Lorraine Steigerwalt and Marjorie Silfies.

His memorial service will be 11 a.m. Jan. 29, in Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville, with the Rev. Dr. David Charles Smith officiating.

Visitation 10-11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home.

Private interment will take place at the convenience of the family at Towamensing Cemetery, Palmerton.
