Richard T. Melcher, 94, of Bethlehem, died Jan. 20, 2015, in ManorCare. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Howard and Anna (Adams) Melcher. He was the husband of the late Doris E. (Gross) Melcher.

He was an auto/truck mechanic for Hershey's Ice Cream for many years before retiring.

He was a member of Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church.

He is survived by three daughters, Kathy Hammel of Catasauqua, Joanne Balkit of Bally and Debra Keller of Catasauqua; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Barbara Brader.
