Jean M. Bohar, 73, of Freemansburg, died Jan. 19, 2015, in her home. Born in Shenandoah, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Esther (Blew) Humes. She was the wife of Ernest "Ernie" C. Bohar for 42 years.

She was a 1960 graduate of the first graduation class of Mahanoy Area HS.

She worked in the electronics department and then retired from K-Mart.

She was a member of St. John's Windish Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bethlehem.

She was a member of the Heights Athletic Association and the Independent Citizen Club.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Jody and her husband Jack Fliter of Bethlehem Township and Penny and her husband Timothy Weiss of Allentown; a stepson, Ernest C. Jr. and his wife Denise Bohar of Freemansburg; two sisters, Christine and her husband John Tinari of Sugarloaf and Elizabeth and her husband Robert Stefanov of Okeechobee, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Olga Wiktor of Bethlehem; and six grandchildren, Kayla, Lacey, Tiffany, Jenna, Christopher and Eric.

She was predeceased by a son, William Brinsko; and a brother Charles Humes.
