Sandra Lee Dorney, 75, of Cetronia, died Jan. 14, 2015, in Fellowship Manor, Whitehall.

Born Aug. 31, 1939, in Cetronia, she was the daughter of the late Franklin T. and Florence I. (Shellhammer) Dorney.

The great-great-granddaughter of Solomon Dorney, founder of Dorney Park, she actually lived and worked in the park.

A 1957 graduate of Parkland High School, she was a member of the band and manager of the girls basketball team.

She was an administrative assistant in the Lehigh County Executive Office for 15 years before retiring in 2013.

Prior to that, she was an executive secretary at NationsCredit, formerly Chrysler First Financial Services, Finance America Corp. and GAC Finance.

A member of the United Church of Christ congregation of Cedar Union Church, Cetronia, she formerly served on the church consistory.

She touched many lives, including those of her coworkers and caregivers at Fellowship Manor.

She enjoyed gardening, traveling and attending family holiday functions and family reunions and was an avid Phillies fan.

She will always be remembered for her infectious smile and her love of tasteful fashion.

Her survivors include cousins and their spouses, whom she so dearly loved.

She was predeceased by sisters, Irene E.P. and Jane Ann Dorney.
