Rachel M. Kratzer, 91, of Kutztown, died Jan. 14, 2015, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown.

She was the widow of Franklin P. Kratzer.

Born in Alburtis, she was a daughter of the late Harvey and Esther (Trexler) Ruppert.

She was employed in the food service department of Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown, for six years before retiring in 1985.

Prior to that, she worked for the former Saucony Shoe Factory, Macungie and Kutztown, for 20 years.

She was a member of Jacob's Church, Jacksonville, Lynn Township, and a former member and custodian of Weisenberg Union Church, New Tripoli.

Her survivors include a daughter, Marion L. Bauer of Kembridge, Va.; son Jerry J. of Dwight, Kan.; sister Shirley Moss of Mertztown; brother Carl Ruppert of Breinigsville; 17 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great- grandchildren and a great-great-great grandson.

She was predeceased by daughters Grace B. Reinert, Lillian J. Boger, son Francis P. Kratzer, granddaughter Carolyn Bohn and great-grandaughter Laura Bauer.
