Joyce M. VanVreede, 64, of North Whitehall Township, died Jan. 15, 2015, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

She and her husband Thomas J. VanVreede were married 36 years last April 15.

Born Aug. 25, 1950, in Grand Rapids Minn., she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (Rasmussen) Sorensen.

She was a sales clerk at Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores, Whitehall, for many years.

She was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, (Egypt) Whitehall.

In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by daughters Maria K. of Muncie, Ind., Tammy J. of Coplay; and beloved pets Paige, Maxima, Tate and B'Elanna.

She was predeceased by siblings, Melvin, Charles, Doris and Betty.
