Judith's Reading Room 2015 "Freedom Through Literacy" Award will honor champions of literacy.

Sought are individuals who have done exemplary work to instill in others a love of reading. Examples of literacy programs or projects that are innovative, measurably impactful, can be replicated and go beyond the individual's "call of duty" in literacy are sought.

First prize award is $5,000. Up to five others will be awarded $1,000 each.

Winners will be announced at an awards banquet May 6, Harmon Hall of Peace, Cedar Crest College, Allentown.

Deadline to apply is Jan. 26.
