Shirley A. Hower, 90, of Schnecksville, died on Jan. 2, 2015, in her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was the wife of the late Aaron H. Hower Sr.

Born Dec. 18, 1924, in Northampton, she was the daughter of the late Ralph C. and Carrie M. (Slotter) Tucker.

A graduate of the Northampton High School, she and her late husband owned and operated their family farm in Lowhill Township for many years before retiring.

Realizing the importance of family relationships, she was an active supporter of the Hower Reunion where rekindling meaningful relationships with family and friends took place.

She will forever be remembered by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as a kind, loving and caring grandmother.

Her survivors include children Lana L. of Seminole, Fla., Aaron H. Jr. and his wife, Sally, of New Tripoli, Larry L. of Schnecksville; grandchildren Robin Litzenberger, Cheryl Bartram, Scott P. Crane, Mandi Kercher, Karla Bratlie, Zack Hower; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

She was predeceased by brothers Jessie and Ralph Tucker.

Her memorial service is being planned for a later date.
