Notre Dame: FBLA Awards

Several Notre Dame students were regional testing winners at this year's Region 28 Future Business Leaders of America's annual Regional Leadership Conference. The following winners have qualified for state competition to be held in Hershey in April: Matthew Peyrek (Future Business Leader) and Kathleen Capella (Business Communication) were first place winners; Jawhara Karam (Business Communication), Jared Hibshman (Cyber Security), Colin Pfeiffer (Health Care Administration) and Meghan Grys (Computer Applications), third place winners; Julia Pinter (Cyber Security) and Eben Prostak (Securities & Investments), fourth place winners; and Connor McGuire (Business Law), Alexander Gosciniak (Health Care Adminstration), Delany Jordan (Insurance & Risk Management), Gregory Brutschea (Introduction to Information Technology)and Christopher Raisin (Networking Concepts), fifth place winners.

Other winners were Katie Aquilina, second place; Reese Cornish (Cyber Security), Anthony Pacchioli (FBLA Principles and Procedures), Kendall Farley (Health Care Administration), Jack Morey (Insurance & Risk Management), Arthur Jacob ( Introduction to Business Communication), Daiqi (Christine) Song (Networking Concepts) and Ryan Pohl (Securities & Investments), sixth place winners; Neil Valkenburg (Economics), Sean Pohl (FBLA Principals & Procedures), Sam Frinzi (Insurance & Risk Management), Robert Fiedler (Introduction to Parlimentary Procedure), Gabrielle Flank (Networking Concepts) and Kyle Elliott (Securities & Investments), seventh place winners; and Claire Mulligan (Business Law) and Noah Marucci-DiPippa (Business Procedures), eighth place winners.

BASD: Mini-THON party Jan. 18

BASD Mini-THON will host a Princess/Superhero party for elementary students from 1-3 p.m. Jan. 18 in the gym at Liberty HS. There is a cost; proceeds benefit the Four Diamonds Fund.

Note: An alternate submission to the Bethlehem Press lists the hours as 2 to 4 p.m.

FHS: Swim team fundraiser Feb. 28

The Freedom HS Patriot swimming and diving team fundraiser is ongoing through Feb. 28 at Sicily Pizza, 4460 Easton Ave. Sicily Pizza will contribute a 15 percent donation to the team if the customers tell them that they are helping to sponsor the FHS Patriot swimming and diving team.

LHS:Coach/Vera Bradley bingo Jan. 18

Liberty HS softball team will hold a Coach/Vera Bradley purse bingo fundraiser at 1 p.m. Jan. 18 in the LHS cafeteria. There will be a Chinese auction and a 50/50 raffle. Food and drinks will be available.
