Edith M. Patton, 96, from Schnecksville, formerly of Central Islip, N.Y., died Jan. 8, 2015, in her home.

She was the wife of the late Kenneth J. Patton.

Born Feb. 12, 1918, in Montreal, Canada, she was the daughter of the late William and Isabella (McCauley) Meikle.

Before retiring, she was a residence housekeeper for 30 years for the State of New York.

Her survivors include a son Kenneth Brian, husband of Dara L. (Kardos) Patton, of Allentown; grandchildren Maj. Sean B., USMC, Shane R., Shea K., Quinn A. and Alana B. Patton; great-grandchildren Michelle, Liam, Cole, Kellen, Lillian and Brady.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Kenda A., who died in 1963.

She was the eldest of six children, all of whom predeceased her.
