Police assist North Catty
Coplay police Jan. 5 assisted the North Catasauqua Police Department in an attempt to locate a juvenile alleged to have fired a BB gun.
Officers were unable to locate the youth, police said.
Officers respond to 911 hang-ups
Report of 911 hang-ups brought police Jan. 6 to the unit block of North Second Street and to the area of the Coplay Bridge.
Police checked both areas and reported nothing unusual.
Vehicles collide
Police responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in the area of Hall Street and Strawberry Lane Jan. 6
Sandra Ritz of Coplay told police an unknown motorist struck the rear driver's side of her 2000 Pontiac, police said.
Loud wind chimes reported
A report of a loud noise brought police Jan. 6 to the unit block of North Fifth Street.
Police said the noise originated from a resident's wind chimes.
Police asked the resident to remove the chimes.
Vehicle struck while parked
A hit-and-run motor vehicle crash brought police Jan. 9 to the 100 block of North Second Street.
According to police, Coplay resident Rex McConaughey's 2013 Dodge truck was hit by another vehicle while it was parked on the street.
Police said the driver who hit McConaughey's vehicle fled the scene.
