Commencement Jan. 24

Northampton Community College's winter commencement for August 2014 and January 2015 graduates.will be held at 11 a.m. Jan. 24 in the Arthur C. Scott Spartan Center, Main Campus, 3835 Green Pond Road. The speaker will be Melinda Stumpf, regional affairs director at PPL.

Community service award

The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching designated, in January, Northampton Community College as a 2015 Community Engagement Classification facility.

This is the second time that NCC recieved national recognition for community service. In December, the school was named to the President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll for the eighth consecutive year.

Northampton was also the only Pennsylvania community college on this list.
