Althea L. "Mammy" Shankweiler, 97, of Vera Cruz Road South, Emmaus, died Dec. 28, 2014, in Lehigh Center.

She was the wife of the late Earl H. Shankweiler, who died in December 2012.

Born in Mertztown, she was the daughter of the late William E. and Rennie (Minnich) Weil.

She was a member of Church of the Good Shepherd UCC, Alburtis, and the Earl Keller Fan Club.

Her survivors include a son, William L. and his wife, Paulette, of Zionsville; daughters Delores M. and her husband Paul Ruth, of Macungie, and Gloria J. and her husband, Marvin Holland, of Emmaus; grandchildren Michael Ruth, Kathie McBride, Alan Ruth, Paul Shakweiler, Cindy Ruchinski; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by brothers Kenneth and Walter Weil, and a grandson Ronald Shankweiler.
