The Allentown Museum Club "Crusade For Strings," which is sponsored by National Federation of Music Clubs in America, is again offering its annual String Award.

A prize of $300 is being offered to a graduating Lehigh or Northampton County high school senior in recognition of progress in the study of a stringed instrument (violin, viola, cello, string bass).

The awards program will be presented March 1 at the Allentown Music Club meeting, Hope UCC Church, Salisbury Township.

The contest date is Jan. 31. The performance requirement is one concerto movement or a movement of a Bach unaccompanied sonata. Applicants must provide their own accompanists.
