Soccer Scholars

The Lehigh Valley Soccer Scholar Athlete Banquet will be held on Jan. 11, 2015 at 5:30 p.m. at the Northampton Memorial Community Center, 1601 Laubach Ave. in Northampton. There will be 76 soccer scholar athletes honored.

The guest speaker for the evening will be Ms. Amy Hough, assistant women's coach at Lehigh.

Also that evening, John Larry Endy, soccer referee, John Lojko, a key in starting the Emmaus Youth Soccer Program and Siegfried T. Mayr, a founding member of St. Thomas More Parish Soccer Program.

Gunnar D. Pattison –

Catasauqua

Pattison is a goalkeeper for Catasauqua that recorded 138 saves and three shutouts this past season. He has 454 career saves in 59 starts. He ranks 36 out of 117 students with a grade of 89.91. Pattison has played club soccer for the Catasauqua Youth Soccer Association for 14 years, and he is a four-year varsity letter winner. He is also a member of the Varsity Club and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. His plans are to attend the University of Pittsburgh to major in Health and Biological Sciences. He would like to become a veterinarian in the future.

Krystaglynn Roberts –

Catasauqua

Roberts is a center midfielder that scored nine goals and five assists in her career. She ranks 27 in a class of 117 with a grade of 91.41. She was a captain for the Rough Riders this season. Roberts is a member of the German Club, Varsity C Club, Drama Club, Chorus, National Honor Society and the PA Army National Guard; she founded the Glee Club and is the President, too. She has played club soccer for both Keystone Athletic and Triboro for nine seasons. After graduation, Roberts plans to attend Kutztown University and serve the United States in the National Guard with a specialty in Water Purification. She will major in Environmental Science.
