Helen A. (Sawchuk) Johnson, 85, of Bethlehem, died Dec. 29, 2014, in St. Luke's Hospital. Born in Plymouth, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Marut) Sawchuk.
She was a 1947 graduate of Liberty HS.
She was a self-employed beautician in Bethlehem Township for more than 40 years until she retired in 1989.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Bethlehem Township.
She is survived by four daughters, Carol Landis-Piece and her husband Tom, Rosanne Totzke, Donna and her husband Doug Syp and Darlene "Cookie" and her husband John Bolig; three sons, Edward "Buddy" Gontzar, Michael Gontzar and his wife Linda, Edward "Corkey" Johnson and his wife Ricki; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and friend Ernest Seech and his extended family in West Virginia.
She was predeceased by two husbands, Edward E. Johnson and Edward A. Gontzar; a son, William "Billy" Gontzar; and two brothers, Joseph "Chuck" and Walter Sawchuk.
