Frank J. Mankos, 84, of Hanover Township, died Dec. 29, 2014, in his home. Born in Palmerton, he was a son of the late Frank J. Sr. and Mary (Schamenek) Mankos. He was the husband of Stella M. (Csencsits) Mankos for 59 years.
He was a 1949 graduate of Central Catholic HS.
He was in the U. S. Army during the Korean War.
He worked at Robinovitz Textile Company and Lehigh Safety Shoe. He then worked for 25 years at Stroh's Brewery and was a greeter at Walmart, Whitehall, for 10 years.
He was a member of Notre Dame of Bethlehem R.C. Church, where he was a head usher for many years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Ron and his wife Deborah of Allentown, Gary of New Philadelphia and Tony of Allentown; a brother, Dennis and his wife Sandra Mankos of Allentown; five grandchildren, Andrew, Laura, Steven, Christopher and Daniel; and two great-grandchildren, Jessica and Mackenzie.
He was predeceased by a brother, John Mankos.
