Doris L. Woerner, 83, of Lynn Township, died Dec. 28, 2014, in Reading Hospital where she had been a patient since Dec. 24, 2014.

She was the wife of Lee A. Woerner, who died May 21, 1973.

Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Samuel A. and Elsie M. (Bleacher) Follweiler.

A graduate of Slatington High School, she was a homemaker until 1973 when she worked as a nurse's aide for Hamburg Center until her retirement.

She was a member of Zion's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Perry Township, where she was a member of the choir.

She enjoyed singing and sang with various local choruses.

She was a member and past worthy matron of East Penn Chapter 336 Order of Eastern Star, Kutztown; past president of the Ontelaunee Lioness Club and a member of the Daughter's of the American Revolution.

She enjoyed gardening, nature, wildlife and feeding birds.

Her survivors include a daughter: Karen W., wife of Lewis D. "Dewey" Freeman III of Lynn Township.
