Charles M. Eaches Sr., 80, of Slatington, died Dec. 26, 2014, as a result of an auto accident on Best Station Road, Washington Township.
He and his wife Evelyn E. (Dreisbach) Eaches celebrated 55 years of marriage in September 2014.
Born May 30, 1934, in Lehighton, he was a son of the late John and Sarah (Hosier) Eaches.
He owned and operated Eaches Cabinetcraft for numerous years, previously was employed by Mr. Won Chung of Gift Design Galleries for many years and by Brader's Woodcraft Inc., Laurys Station for various years.
An Army veteran of the Korean War, he was a member of Allen O. Delke American Legion Post 16, Slatington, and VFW Post 7215, Walnutport.
He was a member of the Bethany Wesleyan Church, Cherryville, and Star Hose Co., Emerald.
He enjoyed fishing, gardening and cracking walnuts.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Melody A., wife of James P. Papay Jr. of Slatington; son Charles M. Jr. of New Tripoli; and sister-in-law Pearlene Eaches of Lehighton.
He was predeceased by a brother Ernest.
