Activities scheduled for Parkland Community Library, 4422 Walbert AVe., South Whitehall, include Family Storytime for children ages 18 months to 3 years, Wednesdays 10:30 a.m. Jan. 7, until Feb. 11. and 10:30 a.m. Thursdays Jan. 8, until Feb. 12.

And adult must attend with each child.

Drop In Storytime will be offered 10:30 a.m. Fridays Jan. 9 through Feb. 13 for families with children of all ages. No registration is required

Preschool Storytime will be offered for children ages 3 to 5 years old at 1 p.m. Wednesdays from Jan. 7 through Feb. 11 and 1 p.m. Thursdays Jan. 8 through Feb. 12. An adult must remain in the library.

Parkland Garden Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 12, at Jordan Lutheran Church, 5103 Snowdrift Road, Orefield.

The program, "Anything You Want to Know About Trees," will be presented by Randy Fry, certified arborist with the International Society of Arboriculture.

Allentown AARP Chapter 5415 will meet at noon Jan. 8, at St. Timothy's Church, S. Ott Street, Allentown. Program will be Kelly Gold from the Hackerman-Patz House of Lehigh Valley Hospital.

She will speak about "Your Home Away From Home,"affordable family lodging for patients and guests of any LVHN family.

Members coming to the meeting are asked to bring a non-perishable food item for the Allentown Food Bank.
