Joyce S. Strohl, 90, of Schnecks-ville, died Dec. 24, 2014, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, surrounded by her family.
She was the life companion of the late Norman Derhammer, who died in 1979.
Born Jan. 31, 1924, in Slatington, she was the daughter of the late David and Ida (Heffelfinger) Strohl.
She was predeceased by brothers Luther "Jake," John, William and Robert; and sisters Gladys, wife of Milton Strohl; June, wife of Lawrence Dorward; and Faye "Dolly," wife of Warren Eckhart.
She was co-owner and operator of the Golden Sun Potato Chip Factory, Slatington, for more than 20 years.
She enjoyed spending time with her family.
Her survivors include daughters Gail Barilla and Susan Rhoads, wife of the late Howard Rhoads; grandchildren David Barilla and wife, Ann Marie, and Tracy Kester; great-grandchildren Kristen Barilla and fiancé Joseph Brown, Samantha Kester, Allison Barilla and Nicole Kester; sisters Ruth Ann, wife of Robert Bennihoff, and Mary Ann, wife of Edwin Stephen.
